The most commonly asked questions about weight loss…and the answers! [part 3]

Should I snack between meals?
The short answer…only if you are physically hungry. If in between meals, you experience emptiness, hunger pangs or grumbling, opt for a nutritious snack around ~100 calories to tie you over. This way, you are not entering your next meal famished as we know this leads to overeating and/or even making poorer food choices. On the other hand, if you find yourself reaching for the baked goods in the tea room at 3pm purely because it’s there or because its “time for a snack”, you are contributing additional calories to your day that you may not need. The take home point – listen to your body’s hunger and satiety cues.
