Bariatric Endoscopist
Dr Arti Rattan is a Gastroenterologist with extensive clinical experience in the management of gastrointestinal and liver disorders.
Dr Rattan completed an Advanced Fellowship in Endoscopic ultrasound and latest Endoscopic management of Barrett’s Oesophagus at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom in 2016. She worked as a Gastroenterologist with Queensland Health following completion of Advanced Training in Gastroenterology at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.
Dr. Rattan is a member of the Australian Medical Association, Gastroenterological Society of Australia, American Gastroenterological Association, Conjoint Committee for recognition of training in gastrointestinal endoscopy and European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr Rattan performs gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound for diagnosis and therapy of gastrointestinal and liver disorders. She is a Bariatric endoscopist with special interest in Gastric balloon implantation and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty.
Dr Rattan works as a Gastroenterologist with the ISLHD at the Wollongong Hospital. Consulting at Randwick, Double Bay and Campbelltown.

Bariatric Endoscopist
Belinda Jackson graduated from Monash University, completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours in 2002 followed by a medical degree in 2008. She undertook her medical training at Alfred Health and completed her advanced training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Alfred Health and Eastern Health. Belinda was awarded Advanced Trainee of the Year at Alfred Health in 2013. Belinda completed her gastroenterology training at Austin Health where she undertook a PhD on using eHealth to optimise management and improve quality of care in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. During her PhD she was awarded the prestigious NHMRC Scholarship and an Avant Doctor in Training Scholarship. She completed her PhD in 2019, presenting the results at local and international conferences.
Dr Jackson is a practising consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Endoscopist and has completed the GESA Colonoscopy Recertification Program. She has particular interests in complex Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, functional gut disorders and fatty liver disease. She works to serve the metropolitan and rural areas of Victoria, using telehealth when required, and is passionate about quality of care and education. She continues to teach trainees at Western Health and Austin Health where she has public appointments and speaks at Gastroenterology meetings both locally and internationally. She has published widely in Gastroenterology Journals.
Adding to her interests, Belinda has now joined The BMI Clinic as a Bariatric Endoscopists, to assist patients on their weight loss journey.
